New to Gospel Light

Hi,

I for last 4 yrs used Groups VBS wanting to switch as looks a good theme but not sure i understand what activities / items are offered.

Can you confirm if the following are availble

Game ideas
Bible Adventure (main teaching time)
Crafts
Snacks
DVD clip each day about 5min (group uses chadder)
Skit/drama script for use each day!

Any info would be helpful

GL is wonderful! You will love it. It comes with a Craft book, a book with game and snack ideas, the Bible center books with the lesson, a book for a Bible story review and memory verse center ( a game to reinforce the story and verse) a theme book with ideas that go along with the theme, a skit book along with a DVD - you can use the book for live actors or just play the dvd, and the music. I would suggest getting the super starter pack for the first time -- it comes with everything along with samples of some of the extras like stickers, tattoos... Good luck in your adventure and keep watching these boards-- they are a wealth of information and tips and best of all encouragement!

You might want to check out the mini catalog, which can be downloaded from the SonForce Kids website. It lists the contents of the Super Starter Pack and the Starter Kit.

I also think the super starter kit is the best value. I suggest that you read the Director's Guide from cover to cover. If you have experience as a VBS director, the D.G. gives you a quick overview and will be a resource to you as you direct your own unique program. If you are a new or inexperienced director, this guide is invaluable! I directed my first VBS 2 years ago and I did what the guide suggested and VBS was GREAT! I also checked the forums daily. There are directors who contribute to this forum who have a vast knowledge of VBS and who are sooooo creative. Welcome aboard! You're gonna love it!
