Hi, I was wondering if you know or have good ideas for a promotional skit using skit characters? :)

For the last several years, we've been providing promotional skits in the Assemblies & Skits Production Guide (or Amp'd Up Assemblies for SonRock Kids Camp), but we don't have one for Kingdom of the Son.

HOWEVER...

I remembered the last time we offered Kingdom of the Son, one of our loyal forum members uploaded a promotional skit she'd written, so I contacted her. Sherri had not one, but TWO promotional skits for Kingdom of the Son, which she kindly sent to me. I can only upload plain text files to the forum, so there are no fancy fonts or graphics or anything but words. However, I think you'll find them very helpful and funny.

So here they are, courtesy of Sherri Martin; Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Sorry, I am not seeing how to ask a question. But, can anyone tell me, are the skits on the DVD the same as in the book and would they be appropriate for Preschoolers? I am only doing it with Preschool age. Thanks for any help!

I would do something with the lion cub puppet for the Preschoolers. The skits might be too much over their heads to understand.
God Bless,
Josh

The skits in the Assemblies and Skits Guide are the same as on the DVD. When my church did Kingdom of the Son, we used the Lion puppet with our preschoolers. I think I remember that the Preschool Teacher's Guide had some fun ideas for using the puppet with the kids. Not scripts, but interactive ideas.
