At the very end of our closing program, right before our pastor had the closing prayer, I stood up and said, "Miss Flora Rose, you have been kissing that frog all week and nothing has happened. Why don't you give it one more try and let's see what will happen. Boys and girls, let's help her out with a countdown. Three, two, one!" Flora Rose kissed William, the lights went out, and she threw him back behind the set backdrop. When the lights came on, out came my cousin, who was William's voice, with a crown on his head. He went over to Flora Rose (my niece and also his cousin) and gave her a big hug, and she made a big show of "I want my frog back!" ("William" was also the preteen guide, and he's very popular with the kids. ) It was a fun way to end a fun week. Oh, and it was my eight-year-old son's idea!
