Can someone tell me where to find the printed sheet music of the songs? GL didn't include a songbook in the super starter kit and I can't find where they have it on the web site to download sheet music. If anyone knows where I can get this, other than ordering the seperate book, please let me know.

You need to purchase the Music book.

The only place I know of to get it is to buy the book, which includes the song DVD. I got mine at Churchpartner.com for $13.59, which saves you a little off of the normal price.

I find it very odd that the songbook was not included in the super starter kit this year. It has been for every year we have used this curriculum, which is the last 7-8 years. How do you include songs in your materials and not include the sheet music? We use these songs all year round and the sheet music is helpful in making sure we learn the right melody and provides us flexibility in having an accompanist instead of having to rely on CD player, audio equipment, etc. I guess we still do a lot of low tech vs. high tech in our church! Hate to think that they need the additional funds in making us buy the book seperate. Can't they just increase the price of the starter kit? The music is the 2nd most important thing in our VBS and it's what the kids remember the most and enjoy the most, with all the choreography and such.
Will definitely keep this in mind when choosing next year's curriculum.
Thanks for your help.

I'd like to add my voice to those who are missing the music pack and DVD skit video from the Super started kit.
These are both pieces we have relied on for many years with the GL VBS programs. Although we have always performed the skit and made up some of our own actions for songs, it was helpful to be able to see what GL was proposing. I'm not sure I can justify buying thoses pieces separately for the little amount we used them but when they came in the pack I appreciated them.

I thought GL had solved the problem by posting on their website the videos of kids singing/moving with lyric subtitles and also posting the lyrics with written movement instructions, but our music director just told me that she also used lesson plans which were in the songbook. She is a very talented choral conductor and educator, so she'll probably be able to create lesson plans herself, but she is missing having the songbook included. (We're coming up to SWAP Opening Day sooner than I'd like to think!)

Thanks to Christy I will have the reproducible music CD and the DVD skit video by next week. Thank you. This, together with the lyric pp on the clip art CD, the printed action word charts, the music action videos on the website and Trinty Jen's CD composition posted on vbshelp.com will give me all the pieces I need. It was a bit of a struggle getting it all together and I would hope this will be easier next year but I really appreciate it all.
God Bless, Shelonie
