What State are you In?

With the Oregon thread I thought I would start one where everyone can post what state they are in and then maybe you can connect up with someone near by! List your near by theme park if you have one.

I am by King's Island - SW Ohio :)

We are in central Iowa, our nearest theme park is called Adventure Land.

Our nearest theme park is Alabama Adventure in Birmingham. Our nearest major theme park is Six Flags Atlanta.

I am in the Lansing, Mi area. Our nearest theme park is Michigan Adventure.

I'm in eastern Ky, so it would be Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (Louisville) or Kings Island, Cinn. OH. It's a 3 1/2 hour drive either way!

Obviously I'm in Georgia. :-) I'm in Oglethorpe, which is about halfway between Six Flags over Georgia in Atlanta and Wild Adventures in Valdosta.

I am very fortunate to live in southern California. I have annual passes to Disneyland. Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain are also in my "backyard". I have taken ideas from these places to incorporate the "feel" of being at an amusement park. My kids are so excited - even though they know it is not a real park!

As opposed to Sherri who is obviously in GA, I am a transplanted Texan stuck in Illinois. We are in far north IL close to the Wisconsin Boarder.

I'm in Clearwater, FL - Feather Sound Comm. Church. As AvnLady said, we have all the theme parks - just 1 1/2 hrs away in Orlando. VBS started yesterday and is going great!

Hood River, Oregon - kinda near Portland. No theme parks here... well, some little ones. Nothing major that I know of. :)

My church is in Northampton, PA - eastern Pennsylvania about 1 hour north of Philadelphia. We are also about 20 minutes to Dorney Park in Allentown, PA and about 10 minutes away from stephsmith in Bethlehem.

What a great idea - with just a few posts, I already found someone in our backyard...
