We are using colored roll paper to make the mural. What is the best way to hang it on a painted brick cement wall and have it stay up all week? We've tried gaffer's tape in past years but find that we have to restick things after a day or 2. Thanks for any info.

We use duct tape. I don't know what gaffer's tape is; so it maybe the same thing.

Command Poster Strips, work really well and should be perfect on painted brick. When you use them on painted sheetrock you have to be careful, because if they are not removed properly they will peel of the paint and top layer of paper off the sheetrock.
I used them last year and they held all week long. They even held up my canvas back drops.
Here is a link for more information.

HOT GLUE.....low temp only.......its an old school teachers trick and I promise it wont ruin a thing.....but if you go the high temp route....dont yell at me! I have used a low temp glue gun every year on every wall surface imaginable to hang our bulletin board paper.....and it has never ever damaged a thing.....of course the paper can tear when you remove it...but it wont fall down during your vbs.....we've had things hanging for an entire summer. Try it....it really works!:p

I've heard of the glue, but it makes me nervous. Will the glue rub right off without ruining the walls? I suppose I can sneak a try in a corner. Don't want to have the principal yell at me again (another story).

I am going to try the low temp glue. I bet it will work w/ the smaller foam board stuff we have too. This past year we used allot of painters tape, yes where you could see it, and push pens.

Be careful with the glue gun... I used one on walls that and it did not come down well (some we could not get off) ... I was told it works best with lamaniated paper.

OK, I know this works. We use to have our classroom in our gym. It had concrete block walls with white paint on it. I tried Duct tape, it held good but it left a mess. The only thing that worked was clear packaging tape. Just like you were boxing up something to ship off. Any kind just make sure its clear and you will not see anything but a shine. You can get it at Walmart, the Dollar store, anywhere. It held up posters and anything we hung up. Stuff hung up forever and when you take it down no mess. I don't know if what you are using is paper or plastic roll. Plastic probably will not stick to the tape. But it will hold paper and cardboard. Hope this helps.
