Because we do our VBS at night we try to make snack time more of a meal. This year I was thinking fair food like corn dogs, bbq pork, etc. anybody have any other suggestions?

I know they always have bbq turkey legs at our fair, you could do chicken. You could do nachos.

Funnel Cakes would be a lot of fun or the giant soft pretzels. I've even seen them both in the frozen food section before. They'd both be yummy and easy. The could serve as a dessert, too.

We have our VBS at night, and since many of the workers come straight from their jobs, we serve a light dinner each night-- we usually start with spaghetti ( good when you aren't sure how many will show up), then we have mini corn dogs/fries, pizza one night, nachos, PB&J sandwiches or Ham and cheese, and a Hot dog supper the last night where the whole church brings in dishes and we have a time of fellowship with the kids and parents. Except for the spaghetti, it is all finger food, heat 'em and eat 'em-- it works well. We have gone to the Kool aid bags as well, that works great-- whatever is left goes to the nursery fridge for snack time. If you have a Sam's Club nearby, they sell trays of brownies for about 7.00- just cut and serve- makes a good dessert!

Oh, here is another idea that we have started doing-- we have a fairly new TV in the fellowship hall, with the ports on the front to plug in DVD players, etc-- last year I took pics all week with my digital camera, then while everyone was eating, plugged my camera to the tv, played the theme music and we had a little mini slide show! The kids LOVED seeing themselves on TV! Parents and staff enjoyed it too--fun!
