Hi, fellow SonHarvesters. This is my second year doing VBS and I remember that the daily schedule was the hardest to come up with. We have VBS for only 2 hours a night. I'd love to see any schedules that people have come up with for a similar length in time and see what items you pick and choose to do. Thanks!

This is the basic 3 hour schedule that I use each year.
9:00 – 9:20 Opening Assembly
9:25 – 9:50 Center 1
9:55 – 10:20 Center 2
10:25 – 10:50 Center 3
10:55 – 11:20 Center 4
11:25 – 11:50 Center 5
11:55 - 12:00 Closing assembly in sanctuary
The rotation will be Bible Story; Games; Snack; Crafts; Music.
All groups will visit each center everyday on a rotating schedule.

We have about 30 kids in each class and to make it easier to teach them we split the 1st session into 2 groups so we have smaller classes. Hope this helps.
Laura
8:45 - 9:05 - attendance
9:05 - 9:30 - group lesson and Activity 1
9:33 - 10:00 - group lesson and Activity 1
10:05 - 10:25 Activity 2
10:28 - 10:40 Activity 3
10:43 - 11:05 Activity 4
11:08 - 11:45 Missions/Worship
11:48 - 12:00 Classroom for wrap-up and dismissal
This means for activity 1 there are 2 sessions coming to specials. The teachers will have 1/2 the class to teach for each session. Use the assistants to help move the kids around and keep them organized while you are working on your classroom work.
Teachers should stay put!!!
