Ideas for your church website

This is my first year as VBS director but we've had a great history at our church with VBS and I'm looking forward to filling some big ***** and trying to make it even bigger and better! :)

I'd love ideas you have for your church website and how you use it for VBS purposes. Can we use the SonWorld theme song or clips from the video on our site? Do you use it for getting volunteers to sign up as well as registration? Do you give incentives to register on-line versus paper registrations? Send your ideas and any links you have to your site -- I love to see it!

Our church has been doing VBS for awhile all paper registrations, 2 years ago we had a paper registration & online option (as well as paying online). Last year we did it all online and had some people on Sunday with computers to help people register if they didn't have computers at home or didn't understand how it works.

We still run volunteers all through just signing up through paper or emailing one of the Children's Min team.

We use Sporg (www.sporg.com) to run our online registration as it keeps such nice tabs on everybody, takes credit cards (70% of regs now pay by CC), has output for sticker nametags.
