Forum Issues

I was wondering if anybody else was having issues with the forum. It seems like I get a database error page about a third of the time I try to come to the forum, especially first thing inthe morning.

At first I thought it might just be my computer, but it has happened to me on three different computers on two different networks. Sometimes I have to wait about a half hour before I can get on.

Is it just me?

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I use a Mac, and I've not had those problems.

I have had the same problem Houseparent. I have found trying to enter from the VBS page helps, sometimes. It is almost like my bookmarks don't work but other links still do?

I have had the same problem! Like TrinityJen said, it sometimes helps to go directly through from the GospelLightVBS homepage - others times I have to reboot and that also usually works. Not sure what would be causing it?

I've also had some problems but I thought it was just me because I'm coming on in Australian daytime while you're all asleep ... sometimes companies do work on their websites at night when they think no-one will be on. Glad to know it wasn't just me.

I didn't have any problems for a few days either - but did again yesterday and this morning.

I spoke too soon; got the error this morning. At 7:00 am local I couldn't get on - database error. At 8:00 am local, well here I am.

I am still getting this error every morning. I can't get on until after 9:00 am EST usually more like 10:00 am EST. Ugh....

I have the same problem. Makes me wonder if the reduction in activity on the forum, compared to last year, has anything to do with it!!!!

I know it has dropped my posting. I used to post first thing in the morning. Now I wait until laster, when I am busier, in the day.

I agree! I'm having the same problem and it's really getting annoying. I think better in then morning.

Every morning I get a 'data base error'.....this is going on way too long.

I'm really sorry some of you are still having trouble with this. I have checked back with our tech dept to let them know this is still going on. Will let you all know when I know more.

I've had the same problem, and was told that the forum was down due to backups. I've gotten the "data base error" as well. I usually wait and try again in an hour and I can get on.

I was acctually able to get on and post before 7:30. But when I was going to post about the boards working, then I got the error again. So 7:30 - 10:00 EST I was off again.

Thanks for letting us know about this problem. I've been notified that the backup schedule for the forums has been changed, so please let us know if this problem continues or if we've found the solution.
