Just a ? about the kit....

For the last few years, we received our kits in October, usually the second week. This year we were told they weren't being released until December. Why? I was waiting for mine so I could get started but when it didn't come, I had our education director call to check on it. We run a week long, during the day VBS for 200 kids. I want to get to work!!!! :) That's my main problem so far...I need my materials!

Gospel Light has had their Super Starter Kits and Starter Kits out on Decmber 1 for a number of years now. I think you've probably used a different publisher in the past. I can tell you what publisher you've used in the past if you know the titles of the other VBS programs you've done.

We've only ever used Gospel Light. The first one I was part of was SonCanyon River years back. Then SonHarvest, SonGames (the olympics one), SonSafari, SonTreasure Island, SonForce Kids. I also directed our Harvest Festival last year and my codirector and I both remember me receiving the VBS materials before festival on Oct. 28th because I had to shelve it until after festival was over. My husband almost killed me because I hadn't finished one major project before I started reveiwing materials for another. Don't know how, but I'm 99.9% sure I had my VBS stuff in October last year. I have no idea how you could get your VBS materials early unless you had a secret connection with Gospel Light.

Oh well, it's no big, I can get other things done while sitting beside the church door waiting for the UPS truck! :) I'm not important enough to have any contacts, just a lowly church member. I guess I need to take a chill pill and enjoy the life around me before the insanity of VBS starts up again! :) - LB
