Does anyone have any creative ideas for decorating the snack station? I like the image of the pizza and robot fine, but I'm trying to think of other props I could use as well to make it more festive.

Also, a couple of the snacks won't work for us. We don't have much time and I need to have them ready to serve. We have about 200 kids a night to get through with about 15 minutes for each group and maybe 5 minutes in between.

We are weeding out the veggie daniel for sure, and maybe one more. Any ideas?

We changed the first day's snack. Instead of the whole stick basket thing (too much prep), we're using pre-made strawberry shortcake cups and instead of jelly beans, we're using strawberries.

Hope that helps a little....we're keeping our decor pretty simple.

The shortcake cups are a great idea! Wish I would have thought of it before I sent the supply list out...For what its worth, we made a similar snack one year with chow mein noodles and butterscotch chips called "Haystacks" I was sure the kids wouldn't touch them, but they loved them and a few parents even asked for the recipe. That recipe was simpler, I think just the chips melted and the noodles stirred in. Then I used an ice cream scoop to make mounds on wax paper.

When is your VBS? Ours starts Aug 6. Great because I've had a lot of time to look at what everyone else has done for ideas since I'm helping with decorations too. I'm so glad I found these message boards...Who would have thought? vbs message boards?

As for decorations, I am trying to find the space blankets (for cheap) that was mentioned on another thread. I thought I could use them on the tables at the snack station.

Idea for snacks if using the sonforce kids on Monday night for Trust Im using string frenchfries, Half a hot dog wrapped in cheese. The fries are placed around the hot dog to resemble the basket and the cheese and hotdog represent moses wrapped in a blanket.
