Something we were hoping to try this year was substituting the normal coloring pages for hidden picture pages. Each of the kids will be given a magnifying glass during the week, and we thought it would be cool to tie this into our coloring sheets (much like the decoder and including secret messages with their daily lesson). We found a large selection on the highlights website, including at least one space scene, but are having problems finding anything with religious content. I did purchase a few hidden picture workbooks from ebay based on bible stories, but most of these are far too simple for any class but the youngest.:( Just thought I'd share the idea.

That gives me an idea as a group activity. Kinda like the Where's Waldo, We could hide something somewhere every day and the team that finds it first could get extra points for that day.

Just a very raw idea. Let me know if you find any more fun pages - I'm gonna check out the highlights pages. Maybe we could make our own too.

my son loves the game doggy where's your bone.

"doggy doggy where's your bone, somebody stole it from your home, guess who, scooby do, I saw you on channel 2." One child turns around and closes his eyes and the rest sing that little song and then pass the object to one of them. They hide it in a pocket or behind their backs and the person turns around and has to guess who has it.

I ran across quite a few activity pages that included hide and seek pics when I was looking for coloring pages. Try Bible activity pages in a google search!
