Promotional Magnets

I was thinking for sending out business card sized magnets to promote VBS. Kind of a 'Save the Date' thing. But I want it to look cool too, of course. I am not sure what they should look like. Does anyone have any ideas?

They both look really good. We just went to a VBS night at our local christian book store and the packet for Gospel Light included a magnet. It was just the SonForce Kids logo in color. The packet was a grey envelope with Top Secret printed in red, inside was a SonForce pen, catalog, and the magnet. I really liked the artwork on the envelope.
Anyway, I like your magnets. I like the white ones because they really stand out. You do great work.

Did someone present SonForce Kids or did you just get the "Top Secret" envelope? I went to a Bookstore VBS Preview Party at the end of February and the presenter from Gospel Light couldn't make it.:(

There were presentations from all of the major VBS companies. We knew that we were doing SonForce, but went anyway, because they often give out goodies and ideas.

I knew I was going to use SonForce Kids as well so I dressed up as a SonForce Agent but came to realize that Gospel Light didn't have a presenter. They gave us the envelopes with the goodies and showed the Preview DVD from the Super Starter Pack. It was a bummer for me because the other publishers gave some ideas on their VBS' and I really didn't get any. This is my second year going to a Bookstore Preview VBS Party and I LOVE it! It pumps you up for next years VBS. I also love the goodies and the discounts. Last year the presenter for Gospel Light was not very good. The Preview DVD didn't work and she mumbled in the microphone so everyone could hear her faintly. I felt bad but at the end of the party everyone stormed over to the SonTreasure Island display. I was surprised. I think at Gospel Light didn't do as well this year because they didn't have a presenter there.

I like those ok but to be honest they aren't all that eye catching. not sure what you could do to enhance that though.

Maybe put a sillouette of a spy guy on the side with a chat bubble with the dates?

sorry no inspirations coming to me.

I love the magnet idea though!

That is my problem too, just not eye catching. Just missing something....I wish we had more color clip art to choose from.

Hi,everybody-- Here is a sample badge I've been playing around with for myself--I changed the names and titles for some of my staff--my music person is the "chief audio technician" my crafts person is the "tech lab chief", etc-- this silhouette might be useful to make the magnets, too- just change the type--I used a photoshop thing on my computer to crop the advertisement off the bottom of the picture- it was originially an ad for something-- I found the image on a google search a while back and have just been playing around with it-- see what you think.

I think the font is called "red brouchette" or something of the sort-- looks kind of space- like , don't ya think??

These are my new favorites! I started w/ adding the silver (A), just the touch it needed. Then I thought of the memory verse bookmarks and added the blue screen (B).

I think I might mail out version B and pass out version A to the older church members to remind them to pray for VBS. :cool:

This is the background that I used. I thought I would post it as a picture just in case anyone wanted to use it.

I just did it in Word, so it isn't anything fancy. Silver background, Big logo from the SFK website (clear background), small rounded rectangle filled with silver (or 2 color light gray/white), larger rounded rectangle filled with 2 color blue & light blue w/ shading down the middle.

Use as you want. :cool:

How do you get the sfk logo w/ clear background? I couldn't figure out how to do it.

From the Downloads menu at the SonForce Kids website, http://gospellightvbs.com/sonforce/.

Right click and save. It is really big, (698KB) but has a clear background. I have one that is a .gif (313KB). IT must have been the earliest download.

I wish we could get more clip-art w/ clear backgrounds. I almost forgot about this one.

Thanks! I was getting frustrated because I couldn't get my background to look right. I don't like the white backgrounds very much. Maybe next year they can give us more clear backgrounds.

I hope that helps more people with their progects.

I also just noticed how nice some of the song lyric, slide show backgrounds look. I think a few will be good in grayscale for printing too.

These look great! The silver made a huge difference.

Have you considered having you kids sell them for donation after church as a fund raiser? We did that last year and raised $300!
