Just to remind you and for those of you who haven't found out the hard way yet...

Styrofoam is NOT SPRAY-PAINTABLE

Just thought I would save some of you from some grief over losing your hard work. Most foam "melts" with spray paint. This includes foam insulation board.

However, it IS paintable with wall paint and acrylic craft paint. Outdoor paint is very durable on projects (and waterproof, too).

I have done some cool projects out of 1" thick foam insulation board. If I can, I will post pics of them sometime soon.

Krylon has come out with a new water based spray paint. I haven't tried it yet, but would think it would spray on foam without melting it.

Seems like that might work. I'll have to look at a can.

The water based spray paints work fine on styrofoam
