Music Room Name

We have music in the opening and as a class in the rotation. But GL does not give it a name or a room set up.

What will you be naming your music room?

Since we are also in the opening we just take on the name of he opening area, Command Central. I love it because it is all decorated and ready to go!

We are just going to do our music in Mission Command because it will already have all the AV stuff set up as part of opening and closing gathering.

We have our opening in our sanctuary (with pews) and music is in a class room so they can move around and wiggle more. This year we have a room set up as our 'movie room' for Sunday School so it has the DVD player and screen I just need to borrow the projector (fingers crossed - last year our projector was stolen right after VBS :mad: )

I am thinking of adding some black paper and stars in the S&S cataloge I saw a filmstrip w/ stars (movie decorations) I thought could be a perminent decoration after VBS.

I just need a name. Would you have a panitarium in space?

I went to the International Space station web site to see if they had a "music" room or word. They don't but it reminded me that each section is a "module". I am thinking that would be a great way to talk about each of the sections in the church also. Zvezda (means star) module was the first module up as far as I can tell from what I read. I thought that with your stars on the walls that could be interesting and a teaching tool. There is also a module on the station called Unity module which is where the other modules connect. A thought - your room could be named Praise Module. I tried to figure out what "fun" thing Zenon may call that room. No luck. I hope this may at least get your creative juices flowing or maybe someone elses.

Here is a little play on words--when you read music some of the notes are on the staff and some are in the spaces--how about something like "Space Notes Center"?

In the Director's Guide on page 9 they have some ideas. Outer Deck, Gadget Lab, Cyber Center, Robot Room, and Welcome Station. I do like the idea of the Praise Module.:)

Josh- Thanks for the list of other suggested names. That finishes off my list. The 5th & 6th grade 'Advanced Agents' will go to the Cyber Center.
The Early Childhood room will be renamed the Robot Room.
and my non-rotating pre-schoolers will be in the Gadget Lab.

I am going to update my map now. Last year I made the church map look like a serise of islands, now to make it look like a space station.....hmmmmm.

I attached a map of my church as a space station. It still neededs some work, any suggestions? Last year I posted the map around and also gave it as a parent hand out w/ a small actual map & scedule on the back.

Just a quick question that I was wondering about as a saw TrintyJen's map. When you type or write the VBS name is it SonForce Kids or Son Force Kids. I always thought that it was together but I've seen it both ways. Just a random question that I thought of.
