Skits Help

Which skits do you prefer to do for your VBS? Since my VBS is a 10 Day VBS, I was thinking about doing both the Asteroid skit and Bible skit and just alternate them? What do you think? Also, did anybody find the hair for Miss Newton?

I guess I don't really get the asteroid skits. I don't understand exactly how they relate to the bible story etc... I was thinking of maybe not using them at all...

The Asteroid Skits are to say the Daily Mission in a practical way. If you look closely you will find the Daily Missions (hopefully). I don't have my Super Starter Pack yet. With SonTreasure Island, some of the Daily Treasure were more obvious in the skits than others but they were all there.

For a ten day VBS, I think it would be perfect if you used both the Asteroid Skits and the Bible Story Skits. Grea idea!:D

I wasn't as impressed with the skits this year as I have been in years past. I thought it was a little hard to follow too. I think we are going to show the DVD while the kids have their snacks and use the cute stunts during opening assembly this year. I know the kids will get the stunts cause they will get to decipher the mission for the day.

I love the skits, although I have not watched the entire dvd yet. Our drama team sets the theme for the night so well, especially when we tie it in with the assembly leaders. They have always been a huge hit. Some years the Bible skits are used in place of, or as an adjunct to the Bible story time. I am concerned about the actors for the skit being so young, we usually have adults in these roles. Have you read about the stunts yet? We have never done this in the past, but like the way they demonstrate, in a fun way the key word of the night. We are adding this to are opening assembly this year.

I'm sold on the stunts! I'm using them in the opening assembly, We have lots of teenagers this year that have gotten too old for the regular VBS program and they will be helping in various areas. I'll probably use them for the stunts. They will love it and so will the kids that are watching. It will add lots of excitement to opening. I don't remember stunts being offered the past few years, am I wrong?

If you bought the Super Starter kit it is in the "Assemblies & Skit Production Guide". Last year I only bought the basic kit and did not get this book I wish I would have had it. Hope you find it.
